CASTROL React DOT 4 Low Temp

Description Castrol React DOT4 Low Temp is a high performing synthetic brake fluid based on glycol ethers and borate esters. It is suitable for use in modern braking systems incorporating electronic stability control systems. It’s excellent low temperature viscosity characteristics help ensure smooth and controlled brake operation particularly in extreme conditions. Application Castrol React DOT4 Low Temp brake fluid not only exhibits excellent high temperature performance but is also formulated to provide improved low temperature perfomance. It has been specially designed to have lower viscosity at low temperatures, recommended by a number of vehicle manufacturers to assist with the speed and control of their electronic stability control systems (ESP and ABS). Hydraulic pressure generated in the brake system is used to apply the wheel brakes. Higher viscosity fluid results in slower pressure transmission and slower brake application. This new lower viscosity type fluid will therefore result in faster brake response times providing increased safety in icy conditions. Castrol React DOT4 Low Temp brake fluid meets the new ISO 4925 Class 6 specification recommend by many vehicle manufacturers including VW, BMW and GM Europe. Castrol React DOT4 Low Temp is fully compatible with other fluids meeting FMVSS 116 DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1. However, in order to maintain the superior performance characteristics of this fluid, avoid mixing with other brake fluid products. All conventional brake fluids deteriorate during use. It is strongly recommended that Castrol React DOT4 Low Temp should be changed according to the vehicle manufacturers advice. In the absence of such advice, a 2 year change period is recommended. Conditions of Use Castrol React DOT4 Low Temp brake fluid should not be used in braking systems for which a mineral oil based fluid is recommended (for example, some Citroen systems, for which Castrol LHM is suitable and Rolls Royce systems, for which Castrol HSMO Plus is approved). As with all brake fluids which contain glycol ethers, care should be taken to avoid spilling this product on paintwork, as it may have a damaging effect.
