Description Castrol Alpha SP is a range of lead-free, extreme pressure industrial gear oils. These grades are produced from high quality, high viscosity index, and low pour point base oils. Castrol Alpha SP lubricants are fortified with a selective additive package containing sulfur phosphorus load carrying compounds, anti-foam, anti-oxidant and anti-corrosion inhibitors.
Applications
Castrol Alpha SP gear lubricants are recommended for use in circulatory or oil bath enclosed industrial gearboxes operating under severe shock and heavy load conditions up to temperatures of 110 ° C.
• The viscosity selection of Castrol Alpha SP is based on the speed, operating temperature and load or pressure applied through the system.
• These grades are most suitable for bevel, helical or spur gears and must follow manufacturers' recommendations.
• Castrol Alpha SP 68 may also be used in Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC) gear cases on outboard motors.
