Description The Castrol SMR and ASMR ranges of bitumen-based (except SMR Heavy Clear) lubricants fortified with specially selected lead-free packages. Applications These grades are formulated for use in the sugar industry as bearing and open gear lubricants. The combination of additives includes extreme pressure additives to satisfy the vigorous lubrication demands of heavily loaded sugar mill roll bearings and open gears, as well as emulsifiers to resist the harmful effects of the contamination with sugar juices. Castrol SMR and ASMR ranges are recommended for use in the following Applications:
• sugar mill roll bearing;
Heavily loaded open gears; and
• lubrication and protection of wire ropes.
