Description Castrol Spheerol 22 G is a No. 2 grease designed for the lubrication of exposed gear dipper sticks on earth moving, mining and other heavy equipment operating in exposed locations. It is formulated from high viscosity mineral oil thickened with calcium soaps and fortified with 22% Graphite and 3% Molybdenum Disulphide.
Applications
• Castrol Spheerol 22 G is recommended for the lubrication of exposed gears and dipper sticks on power shovels, drag lines, kilns, crushers, cement miners and other similar equipment used in heavy construction, mining and quarrying.
• It can also be used on open gears on industrial equipment, provided the operating temperatures do not exceed 100 ° C.
Castrol Spheerol 22 G has been used on steel girth tires on kilns, exposed gears on drum barking equipment, steel mill slipper drives, forklift truck vertical rails and wheel drive gears, rock rill systems, fifth wheels, ball-mill gears and underwater dredges .
