CASTROL Syntilo 5

Description

Castrol Syntilo 5 is a synthetic water-soluble coolant designed to extend the field of oil-less grinding operations by

incorporating a special chemical inhibitor to protect cuprous metals.

Applications

Due to the use of special chemical inhibitors Castrol Syntilo 5 may be used in all ferrous metal grinding

applications where a good ground finish is required, but specifically for systems utilizing copper piping or any form

of bronze employed by the machine tool manufacturer for bearings, bushes or magnetic chick inserts.

Recommended Dilution

(40: 1 minimum - 100: 1 maximum).

High Duty Iron 40: 1

Cast Iron 60: 1

Non-Alloyed Steels 80: 1

Nickel Chromium Steels 100: 1

Concentrated mixtures of Castrol Syntilo 5 should be avoided as they offer no production advantages and may lead

to slight skin irritation amongst operatives.

Advantages

Ensures safe operation on machine employing copper piping or any form of bronze bushes, bearings or

magnetic shuck inserts.

• Excellent corrosion protection in both hard and soft water, even when grinding open-grain cast irons.

• Translucency of product is maintained in continuous service whilst no traces of wheel loading are evident,

since the solution remains completely homogeneous.

PRECAUTIONS: Store indoors, away from elements such as frost. Not advised when grinding non-ferrous metals.
