CASTROL Rustilo 450

Description

Castrol RustiloTM 450 is a corrosion preventive grease containing cold flow enhancers and temperature resistant

additives.

Application

Rustilo 450 is specifically designed for application to overhead line conductors operating under ‘high temperature '

conditions. This is defined by certain standards as meaning temperature up to and including 150oC.

It used to be applied during the wire stranding process to steel cored aluminum overhead conductor cables. These

cables are likely to have a life-span in excess of 20 years and be subjected to all weather conditions.

Rustilo 450 has good low temperature characteristics remaining flexible down to -20oC without any tendency to

crack or flake.
