CASTROL Iloform RN 3017 LV

Description

Castrol Iloform™ RN 3017 LV is a premium quality cold rolling oil and diluent for Iloform RN 3017, used for a variety of

steels and non ferrous metals. It is based on a solvent refined basestock and contains a syngergistic blend of antioxidant and extreme pressure (EP) additives and polar compounds.

Both the basestock and additives of Iloform RN 3017 LV have been carefully selected for high precision cold rolling

applications with particular emphasis given to the cleanliness of the rolled steel - the product burns off cleanly during

heat treatment processes, leaving non staining residues.

Application

Iloform RN 3017 LV has been proven as a diluent for Iloform RN 3017 in duo/quatro cold rolling operations as well as in

20 roll reversing equipment.

The excellent performance of this oil has been demonstrated in the cold rolling of Cr-Ni steel alloys down to 0.05 mm

thickness. Like Iloform RN 3017, the Iloform RN 3017 LV has been designed for more severe operations under high

rolling pressures through a higher additive content.

Iloform RN 3017 LV can also be used as neat cutting oil. Due to its low viscosity and excellent wettability properties, it

can be used in machining operations on small components of a range of free cutting steels and yellow metals.
