CASTROL Cyltech 100

Description

Castrol Cyltech 100 is a premium marine diesel engine cylinder lubricant specifically developed to provide protection

against corrosive wear. With a base number (BN) of 100 the product provides a higher level of engine protection than

cylinder oils with a lower BN (e.g. 70 BN products). The high BN is achieved by a careful balance of detergents that

optimise cleanliness performance.

Application

Cyltech 100 is suitable for the cylinder lubrication of the latest super long stroke crosshead engines burning residual

fuels, and in particular whilst slow steaming and using medium and high sulphur fuels.

Depending on the engine condition, it may be suitable for use with ECA compliant fuel with 0.1% sulphur for short

periods only. Please consult the engine makers for specific advice. For medium and longer term use of low sulphur

fuels below 0.5%, we recommend using Castrol Cyltech 40SX.
