Characteristics
Castrol Alpha-BMB are high performance gear oils with the addition of a solid lubricant (molybdenum disulfide MoS2).
They exceed the requirements of DIN 51 517, Part 3, and are characterized according to DIN 51 502 as CLPF type gear oils.
The type and content of very stably suspended MoS2 is specially balanced for base oil and other additives. That's right
achieve maximum efficiency and synergistic effects over a wide range of loads. In order not to upset this balance,

In addition to its neutral behavior towards non-ferrous metals and sealing materials, Castrol Alpha-BMB is highly thermal
stability, good aging resistance and exceptionally good corrosion protection.
Use
Castrol Alpha-BMBs are particularly suitable for use in slow-running heavy-duty drives and for strong impact and
vibration load. They ensure safe lubrication even in cases where the reaction layers of active substances are insufficient due to insufficient effects
they have already broken down the lubricant supply or have not yet formed during charging. Castrol Alpha-BMB oils have excellent lubrication
properties during emergency running and further dampens vibrations.
It is characterized by a very good smoothing effect on the sides of the teeth of large loosely hardened or heat-treated
gear wheels without the need for chemically abrasive running-in oil.
