Castrol OptifluidTM Range is especially developed for use in rolls and open gears.
Optifluid 3 is an oil especially developed for the use in rolling at the sugar mills. It is formulated with bases and
additives carefully selected to prevent waste, oxidation and corrosion.
Optifluid 3 H1 is an oil lubricant totally synthetic and food grade approved, especially developed for the use in
rolling at the sugar mills. It is formulated with bases and additives carefully selected to prevent waste, oxidation
and corrosion.
Optifluid 4 is an oil especially developed for the use in opened gears, beds and bearings subject the high loads,
applied by bath or spray. It is formulated with additives carefully selected to prevent waste, oxidation and
corrosion.
Optifluid 4 EP is an oil especially developed for the use in open gears, beds and bearings subject the high loads,
applied by bath or spray. Optifluid 4 EP is based on high viscosity base oil in combination with EP (Extreme
Pressure) additive technology to provide optimum protection of gears / bearings. The product is designed to be
used specifically in Type 2 open gears in Cement mills and kilns, Power Generation coal mills, Mining and Ore
processing mills, SAG mills and Pebble mills. Optifluid 4 EP can also used for heavy loaded antifriction and plain
bearings.
Application
The Optifluid 3 series is for open gears, rolling or slide bearings and guides. Supports high loads and with high
adherance properties, maintaining a constant film on the metallic surfaces, even in vertical positions. Castrol Optifluid 3
H1 is NSF-H1 food grade approved and is formulated with components from the FDA 21CFR178.3570 -Incidental
Lubricants with Food Contact.
Optifluid 4 series is for open gears, rolling or slide bearings and guides. Supports high loads and with high adherance
properties, maintaining a constant film on the metallic surfaces, even in vertical positions. Castrol Optifluid 4 EP has a
higher load carrying capacity.
