CASTROL Magna NS 460

Description

Magna™ NS 460 is used in the various oil systems of the rolling industry, especially aluminium, copper and stainless steel rolling. When

leakages occur, lubricating oils may come into contact with rolled metal and lead to metal staining and, in some instances, the metal sheets

may stick together. To solve these problems, in addition to its excellent lubricity properties, Magna NS exhibits non-staining and non-sticking

properties.

Magna NS 460 is fully synthetic in order to achieve high shear stability and non-staining tendency. It has good air release and demulsibility

properties. Where contamination of the rolling oil occurs with leaking fluid, the use of Magna NS 460 is recommended. It also protects the

system from wear, corrosion and deposit formation and can be used in low-, medium- and high-pressure hydraulic systems and servo-hydraulic

systems.

Application

Magna NS 460 is recommended for the lubrication of gears and bearings in most types of cold rolling mills.

Magna NS exhibits high extreme-pressure and anti-wear properties, the performance in FZG tests iscomparable with that of a HLP quality

hydraulic oil. Recommended for non-ferrous (aluminium, copper and brass alloys) and conventional and stainless steel rolling.
