Castrol Aircol™ NG 260 is a high quality compounded oil designed for steam cylinder and valve lubrication.
Aircol NG 260 is also suitable for other applications such as in heavily-loaded, slow-moving industrial gears.
Application
Aircol NG 260 is prepared from selected base stocks to achieve the desirable characteristics of high flash point, natural oil
film strength and good oxidation stability.
Aircol NG 260 contains a fatty additive which imparts added lubricity. It allows emulsification to take place with any
condensate which may have resulted from the use of wet steam. The mayonnaise-like emulsion formed has a good
metal-wetting ability in the presence of water, providing an adequate lubricating film.
