Description
Castrol Brayco 1720 is a series of clear, colorless, low molecular weight oils based on tetrafluoroethylene.
They are practically inert to most chemicals and can be safely used in direct contact with
oxidizing agents such as gaseous / liquid oxygen and chlorine. Castrol Brayco 1720 series oils are non-flammable and
non-toxic. Castrol Fluoroclean X 100 and Castrol Fluoroclean HE can be used to wash off these oils.
Application
Castrol Brayco 1720 series oils can be used as gear lubricants, pump oils and general oils
use of lubricating oils when direct or indirect contact with aggressive chemicals, oxidants, low
temperature is commonplace. They can also be used as oils for vacuum pumps with vapor pressures up to 10-4 Torr.
Perfluorinated liquids usually show excellent viability due to their inherent indifference to compounds
chemical.
Terms of use
Working temperature ranges:
Castrol Brayco 1721:
from - 54 ° C to 93 ° C
Castrol Brayco 1722:
from -34 ° C to 149 ° C
Castrol Brayco1723:
from -34 ° C to 163 ° C
Castrol Brayco1724:
from -29 ° C to 177 ° C
Restrictions:
Castrol Brayco 1720 series oils are compatible with all common materials, plastics
and elastomers. However, Lewis acid catalysts such as AlCl3 can negatively affect Castrol oils
Brayco 1720 at elevated temperature. Castrol Brayco 1720 oils may react with new reactions under certain conditions
exposed surfaces of aluminum, magnesium and titanium. Before applying the oils you need to do this thorough
evaluation of systems with such metals. To guarantee proper lubrication before using the oils
surfaces should be free of organic corrosion inhibitors.
