CASTROL DURATEC MX

DESCRIPTION

Castrol Duratec MX is a mineral based SAE 40 medium ash engine lubricant for both

spark ignition and dual-fuel gas engines running on aggressive landfill and sour gas

fuels. Duratec MX incorporates the latest additive technology to provide excellent TBN

retention, acidity control and corrosion protection together with outstanding anti-wear

performance. The lubricant has excellent detergent-dispersant properties, minimising

crankcase deposits and ensuring clean operation of engines even on aggressive fuel

gases. The medium ash additive system provides a high degree of protection against

valve seat wear whilst still maintaining low combustion space and turbocharger

deposits.

APPLICATION

Castrol Duratec MX is formulated specifically for use in four stroke medium and high

speed engines running on aggressive landfill and sour gas fuels. Castrol Duratec MX

provides a high degree of engine protection against corrosion and resulting wear due to

high concentrations of halogens and hydrogen sulphide frequently encountered in such

applications. The additive system in Duratec MX is free from both zinc and

phosphorous and hence the product is suitable for use in engines equipped with all

types of catalytic converter.
