Description
Spheerol™ LYT 1 (previously called LYT Grease 1) is a high temperature grease formulated to contain a range of solid
lubricants which provide excellent anti-seize properties. It provides high water wash out resistance allowing LYT Grease
1 to be suitable for use as a drill rod grease for sealing threads on drill stems.
Application
Spheerol LYT Grease is a solids fortified grease, containing graphite, molybdenum disulphide, copper and zinc forming
a smooth black grease which when applied to drill threads minimises the risk of seizing.
Conditions of Use
In order to minimise potential incompatibilities when converting to a new grease, all previous lubricant should be
removed as much as possible prior to operation. During initial operation, re-lubrication intervals should be monitored
closely to ensure all previous lubricant is purged.
