Explanation

Castrol Microcote ™ 096, 196 and 296 are smooth, Off-White perfluoropolyeter greases in NLGI 0, 1 and other grades.

Application

The Castrol Microcote series is designed for use in extremely high vacuum critical particle count conditions that require anti-wear lubrication. Typical applications include robots used for semiconductor manufacturing and other electronic devices.

Limitations

Castrol Microcote 096, 196 and 296 are compatible with the most commonly used metals, plastics and elastomers. These

products can be negatively affected by Lewis acids such as aluminum chloride at high temperatures. New exposure

under certain conditions, the friction surfaces of aluminum, titanium or magnesium alloys can react with Castrol

Microcote ® 096, 196 and 296. Such systems should be thoroughly evaluated. Surfaces should be well cleaned of organic materials

rust inhibitors before Grease application to ensure proper lubrication.

Packaging

All are available in 2-ounce (AVDP) syringes or 1-pound jars. Castrol Microcote 196 is also available in 1.75-pound jars

Castrol Miicrocote 296 is also available in 1.75-pound jars and 10-gram syringes.
