EXPLANATION
CASTROL MOLUB-ALLOY ®
Food resistant 9830 is a special high temperature oil formulated from a synthetic oil and
CASTROL MOLUB-ALLOY ®
solid lubricants developed for lubrication of rolling and sliding bearings. This allows the mixture
for excellent wear protection, longer service life and also longer re-lubrication intervals.
Grease is perfectly suited for high temperature applications in the food and beverage industries where there is minimal lubricant
consumption, drip-free lubrication and physiological safety are required.
It can also be used as a safety sliding agent for oxygen installations.
APPLICATION
Especially suitable for applications in cooking and drying ovens in the food and canning industries
Bam approved as a safety sliding agent for oxygen installations
Due to its low volatility, it is also suitable for vacuum applications such as plating installations
It can be used in continuous services up to 250°C and exposed to temperatures up to 280°C for short-term applications
Advantages
aging resistance at high temperatures
thermal and chemical stability
it is resistant to most solvents, even chlorinated hydrocarbons, strong acids, alkalis and oxidizing agents, for example: acetone,
benzene, benzol, boron trifluoride, bromine, chlorine, chlorobenzene, cyclohexane, dioxane, natural gas, ethylene acetate,
fluorine, halides, potassium hydroxide, methylene chloride, methyl formite, sodium hydroxide, perchloro-ethylene,
petroleum ether, hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, Tetrahydrofuran, toluol, 1.1.1. trichlorethane, trichlorethylene, xylol
excellent lubrication properties – as measured by standard laboratory tests and extensive field assessments
long relubrication intervals without the risk of excessive lubrication starvation or increased lubrication consumption
Under 280°C the lubricant is resistant to thickening and hardening, typical for mineral oil products at high temperature
application
minimum consumption, economic application and clean working conditions
compatible with the following sealing materials: th NBR, EPDM, NR, MWQ, PVMQ, PA, PE, PUR, PTFE
physiologically safe; LGA (Bavaria) approval)
NOTES FOR USE
Cleaning can be difficult due to excellent resistance to ordinary cleaners and solvents. Use special solvents.
Lubricants can be used with products (e.g. food, textiles, etc.) where it can come into contact.) good effective sealing and handling
procedures must be maintained.
At continuous operating temperatures above 250°C, a very small amount of toxic vapor can develop depending on chemicals.
changes; mandatory draft ventilation is then required
