Description
Castrol Molub-Alloy™ WR 921 (previously called Molub-Alloy DRL 921) is based on an optimized combination of highly
refined paraffinic petroleum oils and synthetic base fluids, thickened with lithium soap and fortified with extreme
pressure, anti-wear and lubricating solids. The combination of the proven additive package and base fluids achieves the
optimum viscosity, with adhesive compounding minimising waste and fling-off.
Application
Molub-Alloy WR 921 is a solvent free wire rope lubricant developed specially to address the need for a universal dragline
product. Film strength additives and solid lubricants protect against wear and fatigue damage in high tension, sharp
bend conditions. It provides maximum protection to drag ropes and sheaves even in the worst of operating conditions.
The synthetic base fluids used in Molub-Alloy WR 921 have been selected to maintain a tenacious film in hot conditions
without compromising cold temperature pumpability or lubricant penetration.
Molub-Alloy WR 921 is formulated to allow lubricating solids to reach the inner working strands of the rope and to
eliminate the need to use different viscosity products for hoist and drag ropes. Also eliminates the need for
different viscosity products in summer and winter as the base fluids ensure performance over a wide range of
temperature.
It does not contain lead, antimony, barium, chlorinated solvents or other environmentally unacceptable component. No
solvents or bitumens are used in Molub-Alloy WR 921 for increased personal safety.
