Mobil SHC Polyrex ™ series greases are specifically designed to increase your productivity by solving high temperature lubrication problems in both general industry and food processing applications. Developed using advanced Polyurea technology, these synthetic, polymer-added greases fully meet the NSF H1 registration and offer high temperature solutions to the market.

Mobil SHC Polyrex Series greases are designed to provide high temperature performance, excellent water resistance and balanced wear performance characteristic of Mobil products. Using an advanced Polyurea thickener technology, ExxonMobil researchers have developed a unique combination of synthetic oils achieving excellent high temperature performance providing lubrication up to 170 ° C. Mobil SHC Polyrex resists oxidation and loss of structural stability, even at these extreme temperatures, providing equipment protection while extending relubrication intervals. The carefully balanced thickener, base oils and additives result in a grease with excellent load-carrying and anti-rust properties. Mobil SHC Polyrex also provides additional protection for equipment in wet and humid environments and applications where water wash down is frequent, thanks to its high water resistance and outstanding protection against corrosion.

All Mobil SHC Polyrex greases are NSF H1 registered and also comply with 21 CFR 178.3570 by the US Food and Drug Administration for lubricants that have incidental food contact. In addition, they meet Kosher requirements. Application Considerations: Although Mobil SHC Polyrex series greases are compatible with most Polyurea and lithium complex greases, mixing this grease with others results in a decrease in performance. Therefore, if the used grease is replaced with one of Mobil SHC Polyrex greases, it is imperative that the system be completely free of old grease to ensure optimum performance. Mobil SHC Polyrex 005 is an NLGI 00 grade grease specifically designed for use in central grease systems. Increased pumpability and low temperature fluidity make this grease ideal for grease systems exposed to low ambient temperature, such as food processing freezers or outdoor applications. Mobil SHC Polyrex 005 can also be used for the lubrication of enclosed gears where oil leakage is an issue. The recommended operating temperature range for this product is between –30 and 170 C.

Mobil SHC Polyrex 221 is an NLGI 1 grade grease specifically designed for use in heavy-duty plain and rolling bearings. Recommended operating temperature range for Mobil SHC Polyrex 221 is -30 ° C to 170 ° C.

Mobil SHC Polyrex 222 is an NLGI 2 grade grease recommended specifically for use in heavy-duty plain and rolling bearings. Recommended operating temperature range for Mobil SHC Polyrex 222 is -30 ° C to 170 ° C.

Mobil SHC Polyrex 462 is an NLGI 2 grade grease recommended for heavily loaded plain and rolling bearings. It is also recommended for bearings where extreme temperatures are a problem, such as steam heated rollers, exhaust fan bearings, felt roller bearings, and oven conveyor bearings. The recommended operating temperature is between -20 ºC and 170 C.
