Mobilube LS 85W-90

Product description

Mobilube LS 85W-90 is an extra high performance automotive gear oil formulated specifically for limited slip differentials with special base oils and an advanced additive system. This oil is recommended by ExxonMobil for use in applications requiring API GL-5 performance, such as heavy-duty differentials, axles and final gears where extreme pressure and shock loads are expected.

Trucks and automotive equipment of today bring higher performance expectations from transmission oils. Higher speeds, higher torque, heavier loads, and limited slip capability require improved formulations to maximize differential life and maximize performance. Longer service intervals place higher demands on gear oil. Mobilube HD-A 85W-90 gear oil is designed to meet these challenges.

Usage places

Recommended applications for use by ExxonMobil:

     Limited slip differentials, axles and final drives requiring API GL-5 level performance

     Passenger cars, light vans and heavy duty trucks running on highways, buses and minibuses

     Land applications such as construction, quarry and agriculture

     Other industrial and automotive applications involving hypoid and other types of gears operating under conditions dominated by high speed / shock loading, high speed / low torque and / or low speed / high torque conditions.

     • Initial filling, oil replenishment and refilling of closed automotive type gears where SAE 85W-90 limited slip gear oils are recommended

     • Not suitable for transmissions for which engine oil or automatic transmission oils are recommended.
