Product description
Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 is a fully synthetic oil specifically designed for the lubrication of refrigeration compressors in high performance plants using ammonia as the cooling fluid. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 is developed from paraffin-free synthesized polyalphaolefin hydrocarbon (PAO) and synthetic Alkylbenzene base oils with outstanding resistance to thermal / oxidative degradation. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 prevents or minimizes valve or filter clogging by reducing sludge and deposit formation, even in the worst operating conditions.
Features and Benefits
Gargoyle Arctic SHC brand oils are globally recognized and admired products for their progressive and superior performance. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 provides the following outstanding benefits for ammonia applications.
Features Advantages and Potential Benefits
Very low pour point Provides evaporator temperature below traditional mineral naphthenic oils
Solubility Cleaning effect, especially when going through mineral oil technologies
Wax-free Superior low temperature fluidity, prevention of waxy deposits and improved evaporator efficiency
Superior thermal / oxidative and chemical stability Long oil life, increased service intervals and less routine maintenance compared to mineral oils Consequently, reduced maintenance costs
Good compatibility with gaskets previously used with mineral oils Limited risk of oil leakage
Low evaporation Prevents viscosity increase, reduces oil consumption
Usage places
Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 is recommended for use in screw or reciprocating refrigeration compressors in plants using ammonia as the cooling fluid. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 is compatible with mineral oils, however, performance or benefits may decrease due to the remaining mineral oil in the mix in case of change. In such cases, a special oil analysis follow-up should be carried out for 6 months with filter control.
