CASTROL CARECLEAN AS 1

Description

Castrol CareClean™ AS 1 is a fast drying, low odour, isoparaffin based solvent cleaner. It has excellent solvency power

and is compatible with all metal substrates and most non-metal substrates.

Application

CareClean AS 1 has been developed specifically as an alternative to chlorinated as well as traditional high aromatic

hydrocarbon solvent cleaners. CareClean AS 1 delivers excellent solvency for mineral oils, fats, greases and other nonpolar soils typically found in manufacturing. It is particullarly recommended when contact of the parts with water is not

desired.

Conditions of Use

CareClean AS 1 can be used in different applications – either manually or in automated equipment:

Soak Tank Components should be fully immersed in neat product. Contact time depends on soil severity.

Ultrasonic Tank Components should be fully immersed in neat product.

Fully sealed Vapour Degreasing Equipment under low pressure Product is well experienced for use in fully sealed

hydrocarbon vacuum vapour degreasing equipments.

Wipe Method Product should be applied neat via hand held spray or brush. The surface is then wiped to a clean, dry

finish. Recommended temperature range for use: ambient to 40°C max.

User Advice

May swell some rubber and plastics during long-term contact.

Should not be used for cleaning live electrical equipment.

It must not be used in open vapour degreasing processes.

It's not suitable for removing oxidized grease unless making use of mechanical support, such as brushing.

Storage

All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to

avoid the possible ingress of water and the obliteration of drum markings. Product should not be stored above 40°C,

exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
