BP Energol CLO 50M

Description

Energol CLO 50M is a high performance 70 BN marine diesel engine cylinder lubricant offering enhanced wear protection at high operating temperatures.

Application

Energol CLO 50M is suitable for use in two-stroke crosshead engines operating on residual fuels containing sulphur typically in the range of 1.5 ~ 4.5%. It is suitable for a wide range of engine types and operating conditions and will benefit ship owners aiming for longer overhaul intervals. Depending on the engine and operating conditions, it may also be suitable for fuel with 1% sulphur for limited periods as per engine makers recommendations. Engines sensitive to low

sulphur fuels, especially below 1% sulphur, should consider using Energol CL 505 or CL-DX 405, with lower 50 or 40 BN respectively.

Approval

Energol CLO 50M is fully approved by all major marine crosshead diesel engine manufacturers world-wide. Please refer to the appropriate engine manufacturer for specific application details.

Packaging and Storage

Supplied in bulk and drums of approximately 210 litres. Ensure drums are tightly re-sealed after use.

All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to avoid the possible ingress of water and the obliteration of drum markings.

Products should not be stored above 60°C, exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
