It is an extra high performance clay thickened grease designed for the lubrication of slide and ball bearings operating at low speed and high temperatures or exposed to varying conditions from ambient to high temperatures. Unlike conventional soap thickeners, it contains a clay thickener and therefore cannot soften at high temperatures. This grease is produced from high quality and high viscosity mineral based oils and has been specially formulated to provide excellent resistance to oxidation at low evaporation and high temperatures, resistance to water wash-out, high performance against abrasion at low speeds and heavy loads. Mobiltemp 78 is an NLGI Class 1 grease and contains molybdenum disulfide for added protection against wear.
