CASTROL Iloform™ FN 230

Description

Castrol Iloform ™ FN 230 (previously called Form Oil 230) is a metalworking lubricant, formulated from selected based

oils. It's free from chlorine and heavy metals.

Application

Iloform FN 230 is formulated for use in metal forming operations, such as general forming, cold heading and extrusion

etc. The product is particularly recommended for use on stainless steel and non-ferrous materials.

Iloform FN 230 is to be used as supplied. The oil can be applied by brush spraying or soaking.

Advantages

Chlorine and heavy metals (example Barium) free which may help to fulfill aspects of legislative requirements and

waste treatment requirements that specify that these chemicals are excluded.

Good wetting properties support removal of metallic fines and particles from dies, eliminating scratch marks associated

with particulates which results in improved surface finish.

Good lubricity to aid long tool and die life.

Good stability against high localized temperature during forming operations which helps to minimise the risk of

burn marks or spots or black staining.
