Explanation
Castrol Braycote 806RP is a smooth, buttery, off-white NLGI #2 lubricant based on perfluoroether base oil. He
it is thermally stable, fireproof and chemically inert to commonly used fuels, solvents and oxidizers. This product
it is based on a QPL listed MIL-PRF-27617 grease and contains an additional anti-rust additive for them
applications requiring the protection of ferrous metals. Castrol Fluoroclean ™ X100 or Castrol Fluoroclean ™
this is used to remove the lubricant. For information about these products, see their data sheets.
Application
Braycote 806RP is designed for static and dynamic lubrication of tapered plug valves, seals and bearings in fuel
aircraft and ground support equipment systems. Also suitable for use in the presence of oxygen
(LOX/GOX) as a lubricant for valves, threads and bearings. Perfluorinated greases such as BRAYCOTE 806RP
they are chemically inert and exhibit excellent shelf life due to their inertness.

Compatibility
Braycote 806RP is compatible with all commonly used metals, plastics and elastomers. This product may be
it is negatively affected by Lewis acid catalysts such as aluminum chloride at high temperatures. New exposure
under certain conditions, the friction surfaces of aluminum, magnesium or titanium alloys can react with Braycote
806RP. Such systems should be thoroughly evaluated. Surfaces should be well cleaned from organic rust inhibitors
before applying grease to ensure proper lubrication.
