Explanation
Castrol Braycote 640AC is a white, smooth, homogeneous nlgi Grade 2 oil.
perfluoroethylene base oil and a tetrafluoroethylene telomere. Castrol Fluoroclean ™ X100 or Castrol Fluoroclean ™ HE

Application
Braycote 640AC is designed as an oxidizer and propellant compatible lubricant suitable for use in the aerospace industry
vehicles, spacecraft, rocket and aircraft engines and related ground support equipment, oxygen equipment,
and transportation equipment. Braycote 640AC is typically used for lubrication of threaded fasteners, connectors,
valves, seals, elastomers and bearings. Perfluorinated greases, in general, exhibit excellent shelf life
their inner inertness.

Temperature Range
-36ºC to 204ºC (- 30ºf to 400ºF) under Normal operating conditions and up to 260ºC (500ºF) for short periods.
Limitations
Braycote 640AC is compatible with all commonly used metals, plastics and elastomers. Braycote can be 640AC
it is negatively affected by Lewis acids such as aluminum chloride at high temperatures. New exposed friction
surfaces of aluminum, magnesium or titanium alloys can react with BRAYCOTE 640AC under certain conditions.
Such systems should be thoroughly evaluated. Surfaces should be well cleaned from organic rust inhibitors before starting.
