CASTROL Optimol Paste PL

DESCRIPTION

Castrol Optimol Paste PL is a greyish black MoS2 lubricating and assembly paste for

highly loaded sliding surfaces.

APPLICATION

Castrol Optimol Paste PL is used for base and thin film lubrication at high pressures and

temperatures, to avoid stick-slip and to reduce friction and wear. It is used for assembly

of screw connections - easy disassembly even after long operating periods at high

temperatures up to +600ºC, plain bearings, bushings, gear teeth (to avoid damage

during running-in period), press-fits. It can also be used for machines with guiding or

sliding surfaces as base lubrication of ways, guides and joints, in the automobile industry

for drive train assembley and in metal forming for good separation of tool and workpiece

during hot shaping prevents scoring and reduces mould pressures during deep-drawing.

Additional Information

Castrol Optimol Paste PL will reduce torque significantly. It is only suitable for

paste-specific applications and cannot replace oil or grease lubrication. Do not mix with

other greases, pastes or oils. Clean surface before application. Apply very thin layer of

Optimol Paste PL with a brush or a lint-free or leather cloth. Remove excess paste.

Optimoly Paste PL LN 803 is approved as MoS2 paste according to NATO S722,

DEF-STAN 80-81/1 (previously DTD 5617) and Qualification Acknowledgement Nº

B-0124 (previously A-365) of the German Federal Agency for Military Technology and

Procurement (BWB).
