Mobil SHC ™ Rarus Series oils are superior performance air compressor oils developed primarily for the lubrication of heavy duty rotary screw and vane air compressors. They are particularly suitable for heavy applications subject to high compression outlet temperatures where synthetic base oil products do not meet expectations, or for heavy duty conditions where longer oil change intervals are required. Mobil SHC Rarus Series formulation has the potential to offer up to 3 times longer oil drain intervals compared to a leading synthetic compressor oil.

Usage places

     • Mobil SHC Rarus Series oils have been developed primarily for rotary screw and vane air compressors. Very effective in screw compressors with oil injection cooling, compressors with a history of excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation.

     Compressors operating under severe conditions are particularly effective for continuous high temperature operation with outlet temperatures up to 200 ºC

     Compressor systems with critical gears and bearings

     Not suitable for air compressors in air suction applications

     • Compatible with all metals and mineral oil-based oils used in compressor production; however, its mixture with other oils may reduce its overall performance.
