CASTROL CORROSION INHIBITOR N 213

Description

Castrol Corrosion Inhibitor™ N 213 is a solvent free highly effective vapour phase corrosion inhibitor especially

recommended for ferrous metal protection in enclosed systems. It contains a blend of mixed amines and their salts, the

vapours of which give corrosion protection by absorption as a molecular film on metal surfaces.

Application

Castrol Corrosion Inhibitor N 213 can be used when corrosion protection of existing product needs to be improved

especially in enclosed environments. It is especially developed to improve performance of Castrol Alpha SP gear oils in

use. It can be successfully used for the internal protection of engines and gearboxes, fuel tanks, hydraulic systems,

pipes and export packing, pumps and compressors. Since protection is derived from the vapor it can only be fully

effective in an enclosed system where vapors can build up and be retained. Protection is also derived from direct

surface contact with the oil.

Recommended Concentrations

Castrol Corrosion Inhibitor N 213 should only be used after consultation with Castrol’s Service Representative.

Depending on the corrosion protection desired, the recommended dosage can vary from 0.17 to 0.35 liter per cubic

meter of the volume of the enclosure.
