Description

Castrol Molub-Alloy™ Chain Oil 22 Spray is a multi-service chain lubricant designed for use in a variety of plant-wide chain

applications. These lubricants are manufactured from a combination of the highest quality components together with

an anti-wear/extreme pressure additive system including advanced Molub-Alloy lubricating solids. This product is also

formulated to inhibit oxidation and to protect against rust and corrosion.

Application

-Molub-Alloy Chain Oil 22 Spray is an excellent lubricant for wire ropes, especially those with a sisal or polypropylene core.

It is highly inhibited to protect against rust and corrosion to protect the rope from within.

-Molub-Alloy Chain Oil 22 Spray is used on conveyors and chains operating at temperatures up to 90°C/190°F. It can be

used intermittently at higher temperatures up to 150°C/300°F but more frequent re-lubrication may be required uner these

conditions.

Advantages

-Resists accumulation of contamination and abrasive matter: The semi-dry lubrication properties provides a very

light oil film, giving the appearance of a dry film. This ensures minimum pickup of abrasive dusts, lint, sand, and

other particles, eliminating the formation of abrasive compounds which can increase wear and shorten chain life

-Excellent EP and anti-wear protection under boundary conditions: The compounded Molub-Alloy solids provide

superior protection during frequent start-up, slow speeds, and when high and/or shock loads are encountered.

-Superior friction reduction: Promote reduced energy consumption during cold start-up and overall cost savings due

to less downtime, more efficient operation, longer parts life and extended lubrication intervals.

Additional Information

Molub-Alloy Chain Oil 22 Spray should not be used in contact with ceramic filters.

Properties shown are without the Propane/Butane propellant.
