Mobiltemp SHC 460 Special are premium anti-wear greases designed for high temperature applications. Polyalphaolefin (PAO) combines the unique properties of synthetic based liquids and soap-free organic-clay thickeners. In addition to the excellent resistance to thermal and oxidation degradation provided by the PAO base oil, the high temperature structural stability and high dropping point properties exhibited by the clay thickener allowed the production of a unique high temperature grease. The wax-free qualities of synthetic-based fluids and their high viscosity index provide excellent film protection at high temperatures as well as low temperature lubrication.

Due to the low tensile strength properties of PAO base oils (compared to mineral oils), Mobiltemp SHC 460 Special allows energy savings and low temperatures in the load zones of the bearings with its low friction and low torque properties. Mobiltemp SHC 460 Special contains an NLGI 1 grade, ISO VG 460 viscosity base oil and molybdenum disulfide for extra protection against wear.
