Product description
Mobil Glygoyle Series are high performance polyalkylene glycol based (PAG) oils that provide unmatched lubrication for gear, bearing and circulation system applications operating under extreme temperature conditions above the capacity of mineral oils. These oils have high shear stability and unmatched resistance to thermal degradation, oxidation, sludge and deposit formation. It contains additives that provide extreme pressure (EP) property, anti-wear, rust and corrosion protection and foam resistance, without any negative effects on the natural properties of polyalkylene glycol base oils.
Mobil Glygoyle Series oils have a high viscosity index and their pour point is extremely low because they do not contain wax. The friction and shrinkage coefficients (such as on incompatible contact surfaces in gears and bearings) are low compared to mineral oils. Outstanding lubrication characteristics lead to low operating temperatures in many applications.
Mobil Glygoyle Series products have unmatched performance under the toughest industrial conditions for over 25 years. These oils are recommended by leading manufacturers of plastic calenders, paper machine bearings, compressors and gears, and are generally preferred for use under very difficult operating conditions.
Features and Benefits
Mobil Glygoyle Series oils are recognized and accepted worldwide for their innovative and unique performances. These molecularly designed polyalkylene glycol synthetic products have been specifically selected for the Mobil Glygoyle Series and symbolize stability in the use of advanced technology to provide unmatched product performance. The collaboration between our research scientists and application experts and equipment manufacturers has been a key factor in the development of the Mobile Glygoyle Series, to ensure that our products deliver the unmatched performance required by the ever-evolving industrial designs.
Mobil Glygoyle products are mainly designed to meet critical high temperature demands in a wide range of industrial applications where mineral oils and other synthetic products do not produce the desired result. Features such as low friction and shrinkage coefficient and low gas absorption have given these products a wider application area. Mobil Glygoyle Series oils provide the following features and potential benefits:
Features Advantages and Benefits
Excellent thermal and oxidation stability, resistance to sludge and deposit formation Long oil life, increased production, less planned or unplanned maintenance downtime
Less maintenance costs and replacement costs
Low shrinkage and friction coefficient Lowers operating temperatures, increases equipment efficiency, reduces power consumption and extends seal life
Minimizes bearing micro-sliding effect, extending component life
Very high thermal conductivity Lowers operating temperature, extends oil usage time
Excellent low-temperature fluidity Reduces power consumption and warms up quickly at low ambient temperatures, resulting in more regular operation
Thread wear at high temperatures for all steel or steel-bronze metallurgy Reduces operating costs thanks to anti-wear, lowering the operating temperature and regular operation
Low absorption and viscosity reduction in pressurized hydrocarbon gases Creates a more protective oil film and extends oil life in natural gas compressors
Multipurpose feature in industrial equipment Provides low inventory costs with less products and prevents wrong oil usage
Usage places
As with other polyglycol-based oils, Mobil Glygoyle products do not mix with mineral oils and are not added to systems that work with conventional mineral oils to level up, and systems that use Mobil Glygoyle products should not be used as a leveling oil. Mobil Glygoyle Series are hygroscopic and do not separate from water. Naturally, thanks to its high specific gravity, water does not collapse to the bottom of the tank. Mobil Glygoyle Series oils are compatible with many felt materials, but today a wide variety of elastomer materials are used. For best results, the company supplying the equipment, felt manufacturer or local Mobil representative should be contacted for compatibility.
