CASTROL Cyltech 70

Description

CyltechTM 70 supersedes and replaces Castrol S/DZ 70. Developed to provide superior performance at

the higher temperatures and pressures in modern engines, it is suitable for the lubrication of the latest

super long-stroke crosshead engines, and indeed for all slow-speed marine diesel engines burning

residual fuels.

Advantages

Cyltech 70 is a high performance cylinder oil of SAE 50 viscosity engineered for cylinder lubrication of

marine crosshead 2-stroke engines burning residual fuels. It has sufficient alkalinity to combat current

levels of fuel sulphur content.

In addition to its balanced blend of acid-neutralising and detergent additives, it incorporates an ashless

dispersant which assists in maintaining cleanliness of cylinder ports, piston ring zones and under piston

spaces. Formulated against oil breakdown at high temperatures, Cyltech 70 is suitable for a wide range

of conditions and engine designs.

Manufacturers’ Approvals

Cyltech 70 is approved by all principal manufacturers of crosshead engines for use under conditions as

specified in their oil recommendation list.
