Description
Castrol Molub-Alloy 8899 Mill Lubricant is a bio-based grease formulated to lubricate heavily loaded journal
bearing and gear teeth.
Application
The natural tackiness and lubricity of high viscosity vegetable oils and properly selected additives provides
excellent extreme pressure and load carrying capacity, outstanding water resistance and extraordinary protection
against rust and copper corrosion.
Castrol Molub-Alloy 8899 has successfully been used as lubricating grease of choice in Mill Windows and Chocks
of 4-Hi Mills.
Castrol Molub-Alloy 8899 is also used in gears of Sugar Cane Grinding Mills.
Advantages
• Continuous gear tooth lubrication and reduced consumption as film stays on the gears and vertical slides of Mill
Windows.
• Coating film stays on the gear and vertical slides even in the presence of abundant water leading to lower
consumption and reduced water contamination.
• Continuous benefits at high temperatures as there is minor change of viscosity with temperature
• Improved environment protection
• Extended life and performance of equipment
• Protects equipment against extreme loading
• Helps minimize gear tooth wear and hence extends equipment life
• Helps in waste disposal
• Improved Health & Safety
