Description
Castrol Techniclean™ CPL (previously called Flexiclean™ CPL) is an innovative, versatile, semi-synthetic cleaning fluid.
Unlike common emulsion cleaning fluids that are susceptible to bacteria and instability, Techniclean CPL maintains a
stable emulsion to prolong bath life and ensure long-term performance.
Application
Techniclean™ CPL effectively removes soils such as emulsions, synthetic metalworking fluids, light and medium
viscosity metalworking oils, swarf, dust and dirt, oily- and thin-film rust preventives, hydraulic and lubricating oils, and flux
residues.
It is suitable for use in cleaning equipment such as spray and flood wash.
Techniclean™ CPL is multi-metal compatible it is safe to use on ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
This product leaves a light oily film that provides in-process corrosion protection and lubrication for subsequent
operations.
Optimum conditions of use are depending on the detailed application requirements and the amount and nature of the
soil being removed.
Maximum spray pressure is subject to available water quality.

Advantages
Stable emulsion to extend fluid life and to reduce additive purchases and system recharges
Versatility – this product has the ability to clean, prevent in-process corrosion and provide lubrication
This enables reduction of product purchases and consolidates inventory
Protects parts from in-process corrosion to eliminate costly rework as a result of rust
Leaves a light oily film that reduces the need for a lubricant in certain assembly operations
Remains stable in hard water to reduce usage and ensure system cleanliness
Performs well on a variety of metals in various cleaning systems to allow for inventory consolidation
User Advice
Make up an emulsion by adding the Techniclean CPL to agitated water (preferably heated).
Check concentration, pH and bath level regularly, especially if used hot.
To reduce the risk of stability and corrosion issues caused by increasing contamination of water hardness and corrosive
salts (e.g. chloride) it is recommended to fill up evaporation losses with deionised water.
The protective film must be completely dried before packaging.
