Description

Castrol Radicool P-OAT is a nitrite, amine, borate and silicate free antifreeze coolant for vehicles requiring Phosphated Organic Additive Technology. Aqueous solutions of Castrol Radicool P-OAT act as both antifreeze and coolant and offer excellent corrosion protection to all metal parts found in the cooling systems of internal combustion engines.

Castrol Radicool P-OAT should be used at concentrations of between 33% and 50% dilution with distilled or de-ionised water to give optimum corrosion protection and freezing protection between -16°C and -37°C.

Application

Castrol Radicool P-OAT has been developed to provide maximum protection for the metals used in the engine radiator systems, cylinder block heads, water pumps and heat exchangers.

Castol Radicool P-OAT is suitable for use with a wide range of engines manufactured from cast iron, aluminium or combinations of both. Also suitable for cooling systems made from aluminium, copper or their alloys.

Castrol P-OAT meets and exceeds the industry standards of ASTM D3306, ASTM D6210 and JIS K 2234:2006 Class II.

In the majority of cases, coolants and not compatible and should not be mixed with other coolants unless directed by the equipment manufacturer. If using Castrol Radicool P-OAT for the first time, ensure the cooling system has been adequately flushed with clean water.

Advantages

Castrol Radicool P-OAT has the following advantages:

*Environmentally friendly being free from harmful additives.

*Excellent corrosion protection to protect metals used in cooling systems.

*Long life usage – resulting from stable, non-depleting organic inhibitors.

*Superior cavitation protection prevents pitting wear of the cooling system.

*Improved heat transfer through removal of silicates in the formulation.

*Suitable for a wide range of applications, including automotive and heavy-duty.
