Mobil Polyrex Em
High-quality Mobil Polyrex EM Series greases are specially formulated for electric motor bearings. The advanced technology thickener formulation and special production techniques of these greases provide improved bearing performance and protection, ensuring long engine life.
Features and Benefits
Mobil Polyrex EM and Mobil Polyrex EM 103 offer the following features and benefits:
Features Advantages and Potential Benefits
Extraordinary grease life Ball and roller bearings and especially in "sealed-for life" sealed bearing applications, extraordinary long life, lubrication in high temperature environment
High-tech polyurea thickener Higher resistance to mechanical shear than conventional polyurea greases
Excellent resistance to corrosion Mobil Polyrex EM and Mobil Polyrex EM 103 protect against rust and corrosion. Mobil Polyrex EM provides additional protection in mild salt water wash environments compared to Polyrex EM 103.
Low noise properties Mobil Polyrex EM is suitable for lubricating ball bearings in many noise sensitive applications
Usage places
Mobil Polyrex EM greases are recommended by many major bearing and electric motor manufacturers for long-life lubrication of ball and roller bearings used in electric motors.
Mobil Polyrex EM 103 is recommended for vertically mounted bearings or very large motors and applications where low noise characteristics are not of extreme importance, where the equipment manufacturer may require a thicker grease consistency.
Using the ASTM D 6158 methodology, Mobil Polyrex EM greases have been shown to be compatible with most ExxonMobil lithium complex greases as well as competitor electric motor mineral polyurea products. For specific questions about grease compatibility, contact your Mobil representative.
Among the most important applications of these greases are the following:
* Electric motor bearings
* Winged fan bearings
* Pump bearings operating at high temperatures
* Factory-filled lifetime sealed ball bearings
Ball or roller bearings operating in high temperature environments where low oil separation is required
* Polyrex EM is also recommended for ball or roller bearings operating in noise sensitive environments.
