Mobil Rarus 800 Series are compressor oils that provide superior performance mainly in the lubrication of heavy duty reciprocating air compressors. These oils are designed to meet or exceed the toughest requirements required by leading compressor manufacturing companies. It is formulated with uniquely designed synthetic oils and high-tech additive system that ensure the protection and reliability of compressors operating under conditions where mineral-based products do not meet the desired requirements. Mobil Rarus 800 Series provides superior wear protection and unmatched resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation compared to mineral oils. The unique formulation they contain provides the opportunity to reduce maintenance costs by minimizing equipment problems, preventing sediment and debris from entering the equipment.

Mobil Rarus 800 Series oils also significantly reduce the potential fire and explosion risks compared to mineral-based products. These oils are essentially free of deposits, and their performance and safety is higher due to their higher auto-ignition temperature. Its superior demulsibility properties minimize problems caused by emulsion formation and transport to downstream pipes and equipment. These oils are recommended or approved by leading compressor manufacturers.

Usage places

Mobil Rarus 800 Series oils are recommended for single and multi-stage air compressors, but not for use in compressors producing compressed air for recreational purposes. It is particularly effective in continuous high temperatures and harsh working conditions, where outlet temperatures can reach 200ºC. Low viscosity oils are mainly suitable for reciprocating and rotary compressors. Rarus 800 Series oils are particularly recommended for systems that have historically experienced excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation. They are compatible with all materials used in compressor manufacturing and can be used with mineral oils, but their performance drops if mixed with them. Mobil Rarus 800 Series is compatible with fluorinated hydrocarbons, silicone, fluorine silicone, polysulfide, Viton, Teflon and high nitrile Buna N NBR (over 36% acrylonitrile) materials. However, it is not recommended to use sealing elements made of low nitrile Buna N NBR (less than 30% acrylonitrile), natural and butyl rubbers, Neoprene, polyacrylate, styrene / butadiene and polyethylene containing chlorine sulfonate.

Mobil Rarus 800 Series has no effect on oil resistant paints, but lacquer, varnish, PVC and acrylic paints are not recommended.

Mobil Rarus 800 Series oils exhibit excellent performance in the following types of compressor applications:
