Mobil Rarus 429
Mobil Rarus 400 Series are superior performance ashless air compressor oils designed to meet the demanding requirements of leading compressor manufacturers. They are formulated with high quality mineral base oils and a high performance additive system designed to provide unmatched equipment protection and reliability for compressors operating under medium and severe conditions. These oils provide excellent protection against wear and low maintenance costs by minimizing equipment problems and deposit formation and transport. Due to their high FZG Load Test value, Mobil Rarus 400 Series lubricants exhibit a very superior performance in the lubrication of compressor systems with gear and bearings, leading to their widespread use as both crankcase and cylinder oils. Mobil Rarus 400 Series lubricants exceed DIN 51506 VD-L standards and exhibit outstanding resistance to oxidation and deposit formation. These oils are recommended and approved by many leading compressor manufacturers.
Features and Benefits
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils produce a cleaner compressor and less deposit formation compared to conventional mineral oils, resulting in longer periods between maintenance. Their excellent oxidation and thermal stability, while extending oil life on the one hand, they also control sludge and deposit formation. These oils provide unparalleled protection against wear and corrosion, which increases equipment life and performance.
Features Advantages and Potential Benefits
Low ash and carbon formation Valve performance increases
Less deposits in the outlet lines
Reduces the risk of fire and explosion in exit systems
Provides higher compressor performance
Unmatched oxidation and thermal stability Provides longer oil life
Increases filter life
Provides lower maintenance costs
High load-carrying capacity Reduces ring, cylinder, bearing and gear wear
Excellent water separation property Less transport to equipment
Airborne deposits are reduced in sump and outlet lines
Blockages with precipitation are reduced
Emulsion formation possibility is minimized
Effective protection against rust and corrosion Provides better protection on valves, less wear on rings and cylinders
Usage places
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for single and multi-stage air compressors. It is particularly effective at constantly high operating temperatures. According to DIN 51506 standard, maximum pressure air temperature is 220 ° C. These oils are used in reciprocating and rotary type compressors. Those in the low viscosity class are generally suitable for rotary compressors. Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for units that have historically experienced excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation. These oils are compatible with seals, O-rings and gaskets made of elastomers that are compatible with all metals and mineral oils used in compressor manufacturing.
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are not intended for and are not recommended for use in air compressors for breathing purposes.
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils exhibit excellent performance for the following types of compressors:
* Piston air compressors crankcase and cylinders
* Screw compressors
* Vane compressors
* Axial and centrifugal compressors
* Compressor systems with critical gears and bearings
* Compressors used in fixed and mobile applications
