Mobil Almo 500 Series oils are super quality, high performance products for the lubrication of drills used for pneumatic drilling of rocks in mining operations, in galleries and in the open field. Mobil Almo 500 Series is formulated with high quality base oils and additives that provide high protection against wear and corrosion and excellent chemical stability. While these oils provide optimum adhesion, they can also form an emulsion that will capture the moisture carried by the air flow, reducing the negative effects of water on wear and corrosion. It does not form gummy residue that will cause heavy valve movement. Mobil Almo 500 Series oils possess desirable metal-wetting properties to create a continuous oil film even in environments with water. All these properties provide excellent lubrication along with EP characteristics, extending equipment life.

Mobil Almo 500 Series has high viscosity index and low pour point properties that provide good lubrication at low temperatures caused by air expansion and protection against icing stops, while forming an appropriate thickness oil film on drill parts that are in operation at high temperatures. The formation of oil mist is very low.
