Product description
Mobil Jet Oil II is a high performance aircraft gas turbine oil formulated with a combination of extremely stable synthetic based liquid and a unique chemical additive package. Its combination provides superior thermal and oxidation stability against both liquid and vapor phase degradation and deposit formation, as well as excellent foam durability. Mobil Jet Oil II has an effective operating range between -40 ° C (-40 ° F) and 204 ° C (400 ° F).
Features and Benefits
Mobil Jet Oil II aircraft-type gas turbines operating on a wide range of severe operating conditions are formulated to meet the demanding requirements. The product has a high specific heat in order to ensure good heat transfer to oil-cooled engine parts. In extensive laboratory testing and temperatures up to 204 º C (400 º F), Mobil Jet Oil II exhibits excellent bulk oil stability in flight performance. At these temperatures the evaporation rate is low enough to prevent excessive loss of volume. Its key features and benefits are:
Properties
Advantages and Potential Benefits
Excellent thermal and oxidation stability reduces the formation of carbon and sludge beds
Keeps engine efficiency and extends engine life
Excellent wear and corrosion protection prolongs gear and bearing
Reduces engine maintenance
maintains viscosity and film strength over a wide temperature range provides effective lubrication at high temperatures
Chemically stable reduces evaporation losses and oil consumption
Low pour facilitates start-up point in low ambient temperature conditions
Apps
Mobil Jet Oil II is recommended for turbo-jet, turbo fan, turbo-prop and aircraft gas turbine engines, and turbo shaft (helicopter) commercial and military service types. It is also recommended for aircraft type gas turbine engines used in industrial and marine applications.
Mobil Jet Oil II is certified against US Military Specifications MIL-PRF-23699. It is also compatible with meeting other synthetic gas turbine lubrication MIL-PRF-23699. Mobil Jet Oil II causes loss of some of the performance properties of the blend. However, mixing with other products is not recommended.
Mobil Jet Oil II is compatible with F Rubber (Viton A), H Rubber (Buna N) and silicone gasket materials, as well as all metals used in gas turbine construction.
